The Vivo V30 Pro is here, and it’s making waves with its sleek design and powerful camera system co-engineered with Zeiss. Vivo has been known for delivering standout Android cameras, and the V30 Pro aims to continue that tradition. Let’s see how it stacks up.

Design and Build
Vivo has consistently impressed with its design choices, and the V30 Pro is no exception. With its ultra-thin profile housing a substantial 5,000 mAh battery, the phone feels remarkably sleek and lightweight. The Bloom White edition, which we tested, features an intricate floral pattern created using photolithography, adding a touch of elegance to its appearance. However, its delicate aesthetic may not appeal to everyone.
While the Bloom White edition is eye-catching, other color options like Waving Aqua and Lush Green offer unique visual effects—magnetic particles for dynamic ripple effects and UV-sensitive crystals that change color under sunlight, respectively.
Performance and Battery Life
Under the hood, the Vivo V30 Pro packs a powerful 4nm processor paired with 12GB of RAM, along with 12GB of extended RAM for enhanced multitasking capabilities. The 5,000 mAh battery is a standout feature, charging from 0 to 100% in just 46 minutes thanks to 80W flash charging. Vivo claims that the battery retains over 80% health after 1,600 charge cycles, which translates to more than four years of reliable use.
The phone’s 1.5K 3D curved display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and impressive brightness levels, making it easy to view even under direct sunlight. The display’s peak brightness reaches 2,800 nits, a significant improvement over previous generations. Additionally, Vivo has implemented a large vapor chamber cooling system to maintain smooth gaming performance without overheating.
After a full day of rigorous testing, including benchmarks, camera usage, streaming, and gaming, the battery still had 27% remaining—an impressive feat for any modern smartphone.
Camera System
Vivo continues to focus heavily on photography, and the V30 Pro’s camera system reflects that dedication. The device features a 50MP VCS True Color main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with AI Group Portrait mode, and a 50MP main camera designed for low-light performance. The partnership with Zeiss ensures vivid colors and sharp details, particularly in portrait shots.
While the photos taken with the Vivo V30 Pro are vibrant and clear, there are some issues to note. The camera tends to overexpose images, and sharpening can be a bit too aggressive when shooting in 12MP mode. On the plus side, the camera’s stabilization is impressive during daytime shooting, though it struggles slightly in low-light conditions.
The selfie camera continues to impress, especially in well-lit environments. Compared to flagship competitors, it offers great quality at a much more affordable price. In low light, it can sometimes outshine more expensive devices, especially when night mode is not enabled on the competition.

Verdict
For a mid-range device, the Vivo V30 Pro offers a lot of value, especially for those who prioritize portrait photography and battery life. The sleek design, vibrant display, and high-performance camera make it a compelling choice for enthusiasts. While there are some compromises in certain areas, they are minor compared to what this device brings to the table. Overall, the Vivo V30 Pro is a well-rounded smartphone worth considering.
